Extracorporeal arterio-venous shunt (silk thread) model in the anesthetized rat

     – An arterio-venous shunt is placed between the left jugular vein and the right carotid artery.

     – After 20 min of extracorporeal blood circulation through the shunt, the blood flow is stopped. The wet weight of the thrombus is determined.
